When I was 16, I started traveling the country chasing my dream of being a professional motocross racer. After I graduated from Ruskin High School, racing dirt bikes became my full-time job. I was able to save some of my winnings and started investing in mutual funds when I was 18. For the next eight years, I was able to earn a living and create memories that will last a lifetime. The mental and physical toll that motocross took on my body became too much, and I decided to quit in 2006. Every decision over that time was a cost/benefit analysis on where we would go and race. Budgeting, saving and maximizing my earning potential through the risk and rewards of this profession was part of my daily routine. I think these experiences have shaped who I am today as an Edward Jones financial advisor.

For the next 10 years, I spent my career originating and servicing personal loans and mortgages. In December of 2016, I was ready for a change and I was hired by Edward Jones. In July of 2017, I assumed the office here in Grandview, MO. I would have never thought I would have the opportunity to serve the community my wife and I grew up in and one where my parents and in-laws still reside.

On a personal note, my wife, Janda, and I have been married for 15 years and have two boys, Jayven and Tate. We enjoy watching them stay active in sports. I also enjoy teeing it up on a nice day. I am president of the Kansas City South Rotary club and an active member in the local Chamber of Commerce. I have also enjoyed spending time volunteering with Junior Achievement and PrepKC.
